Welcome to Here’s How (hereshow.guide). This site is run by Misty D Marsh LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). By buying a product, creating an account, or using this site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

What you're buying

Here’s How gives you access to digital guidance written for students and young adults. What you’re paying for is access to the content, not a physical product and not a file you own outright. Access is delivered through an account on this site, protected by a login.

Accounts

There are two kinds of accounts on Here’s How.

Parent Account

This belongs to the person who bought access. That’s the main account, and it controls the purchase.

 

If you’re the parent, you’re responsible for the accounts you create and for what happens under them.

 

You may only create child accounts for your own kids, and only for kids who are at least 16 years old. 

 

Your access is for your family. Don’t share logins publicly, post them, or sell them. If we see a login being used to give a crowd of people free access, we will suspend it.

 

Linked Child Account(s)

This is an account a parent creates for their kid.  A child account can see whatever guides the parent account has access to, and that access updates automatically when the parent buys more.

Parent Notes

A parent account can leave private notes on individual moments pages for their linked kids to read.

 

Notes are visible only to the parent who wrote them and the linked child account they’re written for. Kids in the same family can’t see each others notes. Other customers can’t see them either.

Notes are stored on our website like everything else, which means we can technically see them if we’re doing maintenance or fixing a problem. We don’t read them for any other reason, we don’t use them for marketing, and we don’t sell them. But they aren’t encrypted in a way we can’t reach. Please don’t put anything in a note you’d be upset to have stored on a website, like passwords, financial account numbers, or medical records.

Notes are your words, not ours. You’re responsible for what you write. 

Managing and closing accounts

A parent can remove a linked child account at any time. Removing it ends that kid’s access to the content and to any notes written for them.

If a parent closes their own account or their access ends, the linked child accounts lose access too, since their access comes from the parent’s purchase.

 

If you want an account or its notes deleted, email misty@hereshow.guide and we’ll take care of it.

How you can use the content

You’re welcome to read the content, use the advice, and print pages for your own personal use. What you can’t do:

 

  • Resell, redistribute, or republish the content anywhere, paid or free
  • Copy pages onto another website, social account, or product
  • Use the content to build a competing product

Small stuff like printing a page to stick on a fridge is fine. Taking the writing and passing it off as your own, or reselling it, is not.

Who own's what's here

The writing, design, images, and layout on Here’s How belong to us. Buying access doesn’t transfer ownership of any of it. You get permission to use it as described above, and that’s the extent of it. Notes you write are yours. We don’t claim ownership of them, and we don’t use them anywhere.

Refund Policy

If Here’s How isn’t working for your kid, I’ll refund you. All I ask is that you tell me why within 30 days of the purchase. Not a form with radio buttons. An email from you with a sentence or two about what fell short. That’s not a hoop. I just can’t fix what nobody tells me.

The site is "As Is"

We work to keep the site running and the content accurate, but we can’t promise it’ll always be available, error-free, or up to date. Things break, links change, and information shifts over time. To the extent the law allows, we provide the site and content “as is,” without warranties of any kind, and we’re not liable for losses that come from using it or from not being able to use it.

Links

We sometimes link to outside websites, resources, or shops. We don’t control those and aren’t responsible for their content, accuracy, or policies. Following a link is your call.

Changes

We may update the content and these terms as the site grows. When we change the terms, we’ll update the date at the top. If you keep using the site after a change, that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
