Here's How Affiliate Program Terms
These terms cover the affiliate program for Here’s How (hereshow.guide), run by Misty Marsh.
If you promote Here’s How and earn commission, this is the agreement between us. It’s written in plain language on purpose. If something here is unclear or seems unfair, email me and we’ll talk about it.

2. What you earn
Commission is a flat dollar amount per product, always 30% – 40% of what the customer actually pays. Bundles are worth more to you than single guides, and not just because the price is higher: the bigger the bundle, the bigger your percentage. The Adulting bundle pays the highest rate of all. Here are the exact numbers:

- A single guide leaves founders pricing after 50 people have bought that guide.
- A bundle leaves it once every guide in the bundle is live. The homepage always shows what’s current, and I’ll email you before anything changes.

Sales and coupon codes:
Once Founder’s pricing ends, you’ll get your own 15% off code, unique to you, for the places a link doesn’t work.
- Use it whenever you want.
- I’ll send you a new code every three months and retire the old one. Your rates don’t change when that happens.
- I can revoke and reissue a code at any time. That’s never a change to your commission rate. It happens when/if a code makes it’s way to a coupon site.
Where it can go: Instagram or Facebook stories, your Pinterest profile, a podcast or video, print, your email list, direct conversations.
Where it can’t go: Anywhere it would sit permanently on a web page (other than Pinterest), including your own site, a blog post, a resources page, or a link-in-bio page. No coupon, deal, or cashback sites.

If I run any other promotion, I’ll email you the flat commission for it before it starts.
Commission is paid on the first purchase a customer makes through you. It is not paid on that customer’s later purchases unless they come through your link or code again.
3. How referrals are tracked
You get credit two ways, and you can use either or both.
- Your link. It sets a cookie that lasts 3 months. First click wins, so if someone clicks your link and later clicks another affiliate’s before buying, the sale is still yours.
- Your coupon code. If a customer uses your code at checkout, the sale is yours whether or not they ever clicked your link.
If both apply, the code wins.
A few practical notes:
- Cookies depend on the buyer’s browser. If they clear cookies, block them, or buy on a different device, a link referral can fail to record. Your code isn’t affected by any of that, which is part of why you have one.
- I’m not able to manually credit sales that didn’t track.
4. When you get paid
Every order has a 30-day refund window. Commission is paid on the 1st of the month after that window closes for a given order.
Example: an order placed August 10 has a refund window that closes September 9, so that commission is paid October 1.
- Payment is by PayPal only.
There is no minimum payout. - You’re responsible for giving me a working PayPal address.
- If a payment fails or bounces, I’ll hold it until you send me a corrected one.

Yes:
Most of the normal things are fine:
- Your website, blog, or email list
- Social media posts, stories, and videos
- Podcasts, newsletters, courses, or communities you run
- Talking to actual humans
Your link can go anywhere on the list above. Your coupon code has the placement limits described in section 2.
No:
- Don’t say things I haven’t said. No promises about outcomes, results, or what the guides will do for someone’s kid. If you’re not sure a claim is accurate, ask me.
- No paid search on my brand terms. Don’t bid on “Here’s How,” “hereshow.guide,” or close variations in Google Ads or anywhere else.
- No coupon, deal, or cashback sites.
- Don’t post your code where it lives permanently on a web page. See section 2.
- No unsolicited email, DMs, comment spam, or automated posting.
- No fake urgency or invented discounts. Don’t advertise a sale that isn’t running or a deadline that isn’t real.
- Don’t impersonate me or Here’s How. No accounts, pages, or ad copy that could be mistaken for mine, and nothing AI-generated that presents itself as my words.
- No cookie stuffing, iframes, redirects, or link injection.
- Don’t bundle it into a giveaway or purchase incentive without asking me first.
7. Disclosure
8. Using my name and materials
You can use the Here’s How name, logo, product images, and screenshots to promote the product. Please use the versions I send you rather than making your own, and don’t alter the logo.
You can quote my website copy. You can’t republish whole guides, moment pages, or their content, and you can’t use the material to build something competing.
If we stop working together, please take down or unlink affiliate content within a reasonable time, and stop sharing your code.
9. Taxes
You’re an independent contractor, not an employee, partner, or agent of Here’s How. You’re responsible for your own taxes.
If you’re a U.S. taxpayer, I’ll ask for a W-9 before your first payment and will issue a 1099 if the law requires one. If you’re outside the U.S., you’re responsible for reporting your own income where you live.
10. Ending it
Either of us can end this at any time, for any reason, by email. No hard feelings and no explanation required.
If I end it and you haven’t broken these terms, you still get paid for every qualifying sale made before the end date, on the normal schedule. If the program closes entirely, the same applies.
If you break these terms, unpaid commissions may be cancelled.

Here’s How is provided as it is. I do my best to keep the site running and the guides accurate, but I’m not liable to you for lost income, downtime, or anything that goes wrong beyond commissions actually owed to you.
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
